2021 TORCH AWARDS FOR MARKETPLACE ETHICS
The BBB Torch Awards for Marketplace Ethics honors organizations whose leaders demonstrate a high level of personal character; ensure that the organization’s practices meet the highest standards of ethics; and consequently generate trust with its customers/clients and the community.
The Torch Award embodies BBB’s mission of advancing business trust.
This year we're introducing a brand new, simplified application.
This streamlined application will make it easier to demonstrate the best of your organization. We believe celebrating the best in our community's businesses and nonprofits makes us all better. If you ever considered applying for a Torch Award, this is the year to do it.

Eligibility & Criteria
The Torch Awards is open to for-profit, 501(c)(3), and 501(c)(6) nonprofit organizations of all sizes located within BBB’s 20-county service areas.
BBB Accreditation is not required;
For profit and 501(c)(6) applicants must have a “B” rating with BBB;
501(c)(3) nonprofit applicants must complete the Charitable Standards Evaluation process and meet all BBB Standards for Charity Accountability
Organizations must have been in business for at least three years;
All financial obligations must be met;
Applicants are not eligible if they have received the Torch Award in the past five years; and
Government agencies are not eligible to apply
The Judging Process
Entries are evaluated by an independent panel of volunteer judges comprised of business and
Your written submission should provide a robust and accurate depiction of your organization's focus on character, culture, customers/clients, and community.
Your application should include examples, stories, and documents. Supporting attachments can range from handbooks and internal documents to photos from events.
